The Agency aims to ensure that there is sufficient linkages between Foreign Direct Investment and the local economy. It is against that background that the Agency’s activities are anchored on four major programme pillars, namely:

As an agency, we are also gradually closing on the unmet need gap for capacity with support from the government of Sierra Leone. I cannot stress enough the commitment by his Excellency President Rtd Brigadier Dr Julius Maada Bio who has demonstrated his political will to promote and strengthen Local Content in Sierra Leone. In his state opening of Parliament state

My administration will also promote local entrepreneurship through reviewing and implementing the Local Content Act to give preference to Sierra Leoneans in the award of contracts and employment. My Government will withdraw fiscal incentives from companies that do not comply with employment and local content laws’’.

To ensure we foster coordination and collaboration in the effective and efficient implementation, my Agency continues to work with relevant MDAs, Civil Society, the private sector as well as our development partners. Since my appointment as Director General, we are committed to improving our institutional systems and operations for increased efficiency
